After the Rinascita Scott Blitz, Gratteri’s next challenge is a Maxi-Trial, with hundreds of defendants. He is determined to get heavy sentences. Key to his strategy is Emanuele Mancuso, nephew of super boss Luigi Mancuso, the first member of the all-powerful Mancuso family ever to collaborate with justice. His relatives are threatening to kill him. Will he be brave enough to testify?

With international media participation and heavy security, Gratteri’s Maxi-Trial Rinascita Scott starts. Emanuele Mancuso has decided to give his testimony in court and his revelations are questioned by the defense in a heated cross-examination. Among the public Vincenzo Chindamo is listening, hoping to hear the answer to his question: what happened to his sister Maria, who disappeared in 2016?

Part IV: The Verdict

Gratteri is more in danger than ever: new intercepts from foreign secret services reveal plans to kill him. The Maxi-Trial is coming to an end, and he is determined to get a heavy sentence for Giancarlo Pittelli, its star defendant, former senator and lawyer. When the final verdicts come, Gratteri is assigned to his next role: chief prosecutor in the crime-ridden city of Napoli.
