All 6 Upcoming DC TV Shows on HBO Max

HBO Max continues to become a new destination for DC Comics fans as more DC TV shows are in the works for the streaming platform. While The CW has and will continue to be the primary broadcasting network for DC TV shows, including the Arrowverse series, the tables are shifting when it comes to cable/digital services. Despite DC Universe initially being Warner Bros.’ targeted platform to make original DC shows, HBO Max has since last year begun to take over as they have multiple originals in the works. Even before they have been able to film a single episode, they are already co-airing Doom Patrol along with DC Universe.

But with Stargirl now leaving DC Universe to become a CW exclusive, similar situations may happen with shows like Doom Patrol. The same might even happen for Titans after its third upcoming season, as HBO Max looks to be Warner Bros.’ preference in where original DC shows are launched, outside The CW. While most of these shows are still in various development stages, HBO Max has announced 2021 premieres for a couple of them.

As the year goes on, it’s very likely that more DC TV shows will be announced for HBO Max. With the highly anticipated DC FanDome event in August, we can likely expect more news soon – especially with producers like Greg Berlanti and J.J. Abrams attached, as both of them have overall deals with Warner Bros. as well as have their own DC projects in the works for the platform.
